A SPRING HEART
The meadow glistens with the new life of spring
Freshly melted snow hangs in droplets
From the tips of grass blades
Like glass Christmas ornaments
Lit up by the sun.
Smells of life fill my body
They light up my eyes
With happiness
And give me hope of brighter days.
I fall
My hair billowing out behind me
As if an invisible wind
Was blowing around my body.
The sun hits my chest
It pushes the despair of winter out of me
Cleansing my soul with its fire of life.
I close my eyes
And slowly drift off to sleep
My mouth stretched in a smile
My heart tangled in the spring grass.
